Important Information for Prospective 2027 GKS R&D Track Applicants
Students who intend to apply for the GKS R&D Track for admission in September 2027 should first contact a faculty member participating in the program by email and obtain approval from their prospective academic advisor by the end of November 2026.
If you have not received approval from the faculty member you contacted by the end of November, please send an email to me at gclee@pknu.ac.kr.

- Application submission: 2027.2.xx ~ 2027.3.xx (maybe)

4. Eligibility
- Nationality: Applicant and Applicants’ parents (or legal guardians) must hold citizenship
from another country other than Korea
- Level of Education: Applicant must have obtained the required degree or must be expected
to graduate by July 31, 2027
- Grades: CGPA must meet one of the conditions below;
1) Score percentile should be 80% or above on a 100-point scale or be ranked in the top 20% of one’s class
2) CGPA must be equal to or above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5 or 3.23/5.0
- Age: Applicant must be under 40 years of age
- Restriction
1) A person who has graduated (or is expected to graduate) from a Korean high school (including international schools) or a Korean university* is NOT eligible to apply
2) A person who has previously received a scholarship from the Korean government is NOT eligible to apply
